Hi all,
I'm in the process of renewing my head gasket and my supplier needs the engine code. Can't find it anywhere!!

It's a 2.3L DOHC 16V engine.

Anyone know where it might be??? Thanks

Na, I've already looked at that but thanks anyway. It's the Engine code he wants and not the VIN. Apparently, it's a code actually stamped on the engine somewhere and starts with FD or TT, something like that anyway. But then again i've looked at the spec's page here and it says the code is Y5A Does this apply to all DOHC2300 16V engines or does each engine have a unique code? Anyone??

Y5A is the only code I know of for the 2.3.

The Engine Code is indeed Y5A. There's also an Engine Number (TT....) which i believe is unique. Anyway, I've got them both now and the gasket is on order. Thanks alot for your help peeps :)
