Title: Replacing Flasher Unit Post by Spannerdemon on Sep 5th, 2006, 7:10am Hi guys. I need to replace the indicator flasher unit (not the hazard flasher) on my Scorp, which has been slowly getting less and less reliable, sometimes not flashing at all. I understand that this is inside the steering wheel cowl, but I just want to check exactly what I need to remove before I do it. Do I need to disconnect the battery (airbag is the worry), or can I get to the unit by simply removing the lower cowl only. Advice appreciated. Thanks :) |

Title: Re: Replacing Flasher Unit Post by Spannerdemon on Sep 5th, 2006, 2:20pm Spot on. It IS indeed under the top cover. No need to remove the bottom cover at all. Bit tight to come out, but out it came! Got one out of a very sad looking Cossie. MOT failure, but it seemed to have a well looked after Cosworth engine and g/box with E and S mode. Sitting under a HUGE mountain of crushed cars. I was quite surprised to see no fewer than 3 other Scorps down there. Quite sad to see them all sitting there getting ready for the crusher once the vultures have taken their bits! http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g25/xtr42gpnd/Photo-0039.jpg At least the flasher unit will get a new lease of life!! I don't think the car will though!! }{ }{ }{ }{ }{ |
