Title: 24v help needed (Trottle body setup)
Post by Havinga on Sep 20th, 2006, 4:21pm
Hi Guys,
I need some help in restting the throttle stop screw, throttle position sensor and air bypass screw!..
As the former keeper seems to have messed it all up instead off fixing an air leak, and all ford will tell me is "it factory set sir you need to buy e new one",
So if anyone can help with measurements ect  i would be very greatfull.
at the moment i have the throttle pos sensor set at 16.1% and the throttle stop set at a natts off fully closed. it's the air bypass screw i rearly need heep with as i have no idea if its supposed 2 be all the way in or out, calculated load (obd) reads 32% at idle aircon off in park.  adjusting the screw changes the load value which is critical for gear change and O/D.
The main prob with the car is od selection.
(new maf Fitted, Loom Checked O/D band ajusted)
Thanx Guys, PS DO NOT ADJUST YOURS TO TRY AND HELP ME, I Just need Ruff Measurments and obd load values, FACTORY SET = DONT TOUCH. @

Well I would do it the old fashioned way not using OBD.

The throttle stop is set by getting the engine into LOS, disconnect the TPS etc.

It should idle around 600rpm on the basic idle.

TPS I would get a volt meter & adjust until you get 0.7 volts on the ECU return.
Which is about 14%

The other one I have never had to adjust?
At a guess I would just screw it in then slowly out listening to the engine, when it seems right check the readings & that should be it.

& yeah none of them should have been touched.
