Title: Locking wheel nuts/bolts
Post by crop on Sep 25th, 2006, 1:59pm
Hi,having just read a post re not being able to remove wheels because the original remover was not with the car ( a rather common occurence these days i find) i saw a link to e bay or a set of removers which were £65 plus postage. I just want to let you know that SCREWFIX do the same set, although not in such a fancy case for £19.89 inc vat.
My brother has just got a set as his new 'v'reg volvo, please no nasty coments as he has forked out a grand already on it.
Unfortunately they will not fit the volvo purely because there is no room between the lock nut and the alloys, but would fit most cars, also useful for any 'rounded' nuts/bolts. i hope this helps someone (especially to save a bit of dosh).

Well crop that could be usefull info you have there.
by the way welcome to the site and as for locking wheel nuts we did loads of "not got the key" jobs when I was working in the traid and nine times out of ten a old socket roughly the same size as the wheal stud hamered over the top normaly worked.
