Title: Fuel computer outdoor temperature! Post by harry.m1byt on Oct 19th, 2006, 8:58pm I asked earlier where the temperature sender was for the fuel computer and someone suggested that the sender unit mounted on top of the a/c served both climate control and the fuel computer. That I have now proven to be wrong, that only serves the climate control.... My fuel computer indicated '- - C' or an open circuit when I ran the diagnostics. I eventually found the sender unit - it is mounted underneath the front cross member below and slightly forward of the radiator - accessible from under the bonnet, if you feel down between radiator and the cross member. It is a black object square along its length, with a spring fixing it into the chassis and a round two pin plug connecting it to the loom. I suspect it also operates the ice warning system in the panel. One outdoor temperature display now working ;-) |
