what next?

The remote is rather a waste, without some confirmation from the car that it has responded. I feel such a fool pressing the buttons on the remote, then walkin back to the car to check it has locked and alarmed.

The granada at least bleeped at you quietly to confirm it had set the full alarm system.

So looking at the other solutions to the problem in the Mods section, the yellow/blue in the passenger footwell wire is the 'lock wire'. I'm wondring if something as basic and simple as a 12v piezo sounder (AWD) connected between this and ground - might solve the problem of lack of feedback, without the more extensive wiring involved in the more complex methods of solving the problem?

Its a problem, my car now flashes the indicators to confirm unlocking, locking and double locking. Of course this required crossing the local Ford dealers palm with silver, standard 1 hour labour charge on the WDS at about £77!
