Hi, does anyone know if you can get the bonnet in the back of a saloon scorpio?, might be getting one and need to know if I can get it in to bring it back.

Man with Van (some are quite cheap).

Friend with an Estate or a car with a roof rack (bribe with beer!!)

Firms van (Beg/steal/borrow).

Tell the AA it fell off, and can they recover it for you ;D ;D

Of course, if you live near the sea like me, you could always bung a sail on it, and windsurf it round!!

If you don't need to move it too far...

Put some old pillows/cushions, even an old duvet on the roof with the bonnet on top, then simply tie the whole lot tight with a rope through the cabin.

You can actually buy inflatable cushions a little like a LiLo for the purpose.

A better way to lash it down, would be to make up some brackets and get some small bolts to fit the sockets intended for a roof rack. The sockets are hidden just behind the rubber door surround around the top edge.
