Hi all

When checking for Error Codes in the Climate Control system as defined in the CC Reset document on this site I got a 00, 50, 57 when using the adjust temp switch

Now, if 00 means no faults and 50 is the reset.....what's the 57 ?

Answers and/or Suggestions please

Oh and it is a bit warmer !

Code 57 is the same as 07 and that is a faulty HBC module see the CC pages on the main site for further info ....

hi there

57 = 07 hbc (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/hbctest.htm). a lot of scorpios suffer from this. just reset it a couple of times. only real cure is a new one at about £100+ VAT.

you need to be doing the reset every couple of weeks now.

Hi all

One further question....

You hold the the Recirc and Aircon Buttons down....Diagnostic codes appear, What next to reset and clear the diagnostic mode..... had a right old game with the temp showing when not in Auto, but in Auto '--' showing on both sides.

Instructions please....

hi there

as per the reset instructions (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ccreset.htm), miss out step 5, then at step 6, hold the buttons until 00 shows and begins to flash (error code will show first then change to 00).
