Title: Washer Jets.
Post by Simmo on Jan 29th, 2007, 11:10am
Can anyone please tell me how the washer jets are removed fom the bonnet?  I had a problem clearing them so removed the insulating felt, disconnected the heater wiring, warmed and removed the tubing. I then found that twisting the 'T' piece and elbow allowed them to come away. However.bearing in mind the units are inside the double skin section of bonnet,I floundered at this point. I did manage to clear the jets with the compressor but still would have liked to remove them. Did try gently prising, twisting etc from above but there was no sign of 'give'. Thanks, Mike.

Hi Mike,

Theres a plastic spring clip built into the jet housing, its at the jet end of it (nearest the windscreen)

Best way i've found is to open the bonnet, pull back the soundproofing, insert a screwdriver into the bottom of the slot where the washer goes in and lever it gently upwards and forwards if you see what i mean :)

Thanks Stuart. I get the drift. Next time I'm at the breakers I'll try on one of theirs!. I felt it had to be something like that but as I'm sure you know seeing the thing and getting access is to say the least problematic.Fortunately the compresser saved the day but not everyone has one available.  ;)
