Title: 16v diff conversion. Post by toppin2 on Jan 30th, 2007, 5:16pm hi, i have my 16v diff ready to go on2 my cosworth, but i am a little baffled to how you swap over the flanges from the 24v to the 16v. i have removed the back plate, and also have noticed around the flange there are a series of little "teeth", one of them having a little brass locking plate bolted on. am i correct in saying you under the plate an unscrew the "teeth", or am i goin in the complete wrong direction. cheers, dave. |

Title: Re: 16v diff conversion. Post by Highlander on Jan 30th, 2007, 5:56pm The flanges are held on by large circlips on the inside of the diff, at the inner ends. Number 16 on the first diagram http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/rearaxle/DiffOverhaul.pdf Dont drop them! ;) PS is it the 2.0 16v or the 2.3 16v diff you have? |
