Title: Re: water pump going Post by tintin on Feb 11th, 2007, 12:43pm could be a few things, i guess. ??? mine was doing that, turned out to be the seam on the radiator (didnt leak when cold, didnt leak when hot, only when warming up or cooling down). normally only lost a bit, but twice emptied the lot. hope this helps, |

Title: Re: water pump going Post by Scorpius on Feb 17th, 2007, 4:19pm When you pull up somewhere with a hot engin, open the bonnet and then turn off the engine. Have a look and see where the water comes from. I hate to say this, but it sounds to me like over pressurization of the water system, and we all know what causes that.!! I hope not though, expecially after all you hafe been through with the gearbox Ian |

Title: Re: water pump going Post by Dave on Feb 17th, 2007, 9:52pm My 24v started dumping water, intermittent at first, then constantly - turned out to be the water pump. Had the pump done at a garage as it needed a few bits. The pump itself is, IIRC, held on by 5 bolts. Apparently the bolts needed some gentle heat to get them to shift but access doesn't look too dire. |
