Have been watching this seller for a little while on ebay, seems to have some great deals on in-car speakers. These look interesting though as they are Infinity KAPPA's and Ford custom fits ;)

The seller also have a 5 1/4 inch Infinity KAPPA door speaker with secondary tweeter and crossover set too. Hmmm,...no, did I really want to do the audio upgrade now ;D

Have a set of kappas myself and the sound quality is superb

very nice, but at 100w rms they would still need an aftermarket amp...

Alas, no...sound output depends on the sensitivity of the drivers ;)

Would make the original system sound better, speakers are almost always the weakpoint in any hifi system - but if you like your sounds LOUD then you might want a bigger amp :)

Get yourself a pair of Celestion A3 floorstanders and fit them in the back of the Scorp, show all the chavs what low end sonics really are ;D ;)

mmmmm...loudspeakers...

ive removed my parcel shelf standards door standards and replaced with pioneer 6x9's and pioneer 3 ways tweeters on dash and 15 inch sub in boot powered by a pioneer 4 channel amp all spliced into original rds 7000.All controls work the same as b4 and its a sound to behold

I am more of a sonic purist and do not see the point to huge ear-bleed subwoofers, which if you know anything about transducer design will ruin the timing and delivery off mid and high frequencies.

But each to their own. Of course, large subwoofers can be designed into an audio system correctly, I use a very large on at home but if set up properly you should have seamless integration with the rest of your oudspeaker system.

Any of you guys out there who run big subs ever had metal fatigue in your cars?

Old friend of mine used to build pro-in car audio systems purely for competitions at shows. He won numerous Nationl trophies but I remember him telling me that he has had structural defects in cars where he has run obscenely large subs for any length of time.

Side Note: If any of you you speakers at home that are sand filled be aware that over time, the lower frequencies can vibrate the sand through the loudspeaker cabinet!

correct...top bass and sub frequencies can ruin you mid and high end sound if not done correctly.Thats why i use a 4 channel amp.My sub power on the sub channel is set minimal so my mid range high range and tweeters r not over powered by bass.A big sub does not always mean its pumped till its shaking....unless u r 17 lol.....my system never needs to be played higher than 15 volume level and the 6x9's 3ways and tweeters are heard abouve the sub box after all true sound contains sub base and is hard to achieve on a standard car audio system.The scorps original sound system in my opinion was way ahead of its time anyway but to bring it up to date a few tweeks will do it u dont even need to upgrade your head unit etc.As for metal fatigue...yeah ive heard this too but like u said thats more a high power for time thing ,never happened to me yet but know ppl who have done alot of electrical damage with to much high sub shaking free solder joins etc....anyhooo i love my music and i love it with a quality sound in car and in home for me its not about volume ;D ;D ;D ;D
