Title: Stuck Electric sunroof Post by dannynic on Mar 6th, 2007, 7:04pm Just a note to anyone out there that may have a sticking electric sunroof. All I done was to lubricate the mecahnism and furry wires when the sunroof was tilted, then took the motor out, wound back the sunroof by hand using soft jaws on a set of plumbing grips, replaced the the motor with a good one (with the teeth not sheared) after setting it in the right position and hey presto a working sunroof. Will keep it lubricated now as it says on the site. I could not pull the sunroof back by hand as it says on the main site so thats why I manually wound it back seemed alot easier to me. Not wanting to offend anyone of course. Hope this may be of help to someone. I found it to be alot easier than I was expecting. :) |
