Title: Stuck Electric sunroof
Post by dannynic on Mar 6th, 2007, 7:04pm
Just a note to anyone out there that may have a sticking electric sunroof. All I done was to lubricate the mecahnism and furry wires when the sunroof was tilted, then took the motor out, wound back the sunroof by hand using soft jaws on a set of plumbing grips, replaced the the motor with a good one (with the teeth not sheared) after setting it in the right position and hey presto a working sunroof. Will keep it lubricated now as it says on the site. I could not pull the sunroof back by hand as it says on the main site so thats why I manually wound it back seemed alot easier to me. Not wanting to offend anyone of course. Hope this may be of help to someone. I found it to be alot easier than I was expecting. :)

We are always pleased to learn from others experiences. If that is what you found worked that's great. As you say it may well help someone else and that is what this site is all about.  :)
