yeah yeah i know...another simpleton with a stupid question ;D but can someone shed some light on what the small square button is drivers side right of steering wheel all alone near the heater vent :-[ :-[

That would probably be the ejection seat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ejection_seat) button ;D

Seriously though, I don't know. It's either ultima specific, or it's something the previous owner put in.

ok m8...cauld it possibly be something to do with the irritating darleck sounding voice everytime i start the scorp asking me daft questions...have u checked your fuel oil and water have u fastened your seatbelt etc.also says u have been driving for 4 hours suggest you stop and rest...any ideas how i can shut it up as hes starting to drive me mental :o :o :o :o :o

I don't think it's standard & it's a fair assumption to say that it probably does have something to do with the obviously aftermarket 'oral driving instructions for idiots' system fitted ;)

Where does the voice come from ?....Is there a small speaker somewhere ?....if so, then you could trace the cable back to it's source ;)

I can't believe that someone would fit something so utterly LAME to a Scorpio. I too would be seeking out the wiring for this intrusion into my space.

plunger head is actually in the glove box....ill try to c what hes connected too and exterminate him.The button seems 2b nowt 2 do with it though...puzzled to what it is....nothing seems to change when i press it but it is connected to a few wires i popped it out to look ???

just a quickie, open your little coin pocket just under the light switch and switch the button on, it maybe for lights in there, quite a few people have done this mod

I was told that fords fitted anti speed camera missiles, perhaps thats what the button is for, try it next time you see one, try it for all of us, pleasssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee
