Title: Re: A GOOD SOUNDING EXAUST Post by jonnycab on Mar 25th, 2007, 2:41am I've got a V6 MK1 Granny & that sounds lovely, but I don't think you'll ever get the same kind of growl out of a Scorp.....not unless it has a V6 Essex fitted ;) |

Title: Re: A GOOD SOUNDING EXAUST Post by petehull on Mar 25th, 2007, 1:10pm I will probably be slated for this but >:( here goes.... I think the only time a car sounds good is when you can hardly hear the engine... can't understand why people want their cars to sound as if they have a hole in their silencer, after all the silencer is or should be just that, A Silencer ??? ??? Pete (owt for a quiet life... ::)) |

Oh no...that's loud, Sherman tank loud :o ;D What the Scorpio really needs is twin pipes with crossovers near the silencers...keep it mute at low revs but let it rip when you feel like driving...spirited ::) Regards, Bruce. |

Title: Re: A GOOD SOUNDING EXAUST Post by dogma on Mar 25th, 2007, 9:31pm Some people are no fun, im not wanting the typical loud fart noise the boy racers have, just a system than sounds nice. Why have a V6 engine with a wispering exaust, thats al im saying lol jim |

Title: Re: A GOOD SOUNDING EXAUST Post by cleave on Mar 27th, 2007, 12:26am dogma...im with u m8....most nasty sounding pipes the size of a sewer pipe are attatched to 1.0 corsas or saxo's,be nice to hear an aftermarket pipe on an engine with some real grunt...after all we wouldnt be trying to make our engine sound like a v6 with a big bore pipe, its already a v6.Question being......true car enthusiast, walking in town when a 6ltr yank job rummbles up behind you...do u look because you think its a d**n horrible noise or because you wanna see whats making such an awesome note? |

Title: Re: A GOOD SOUNDING EXAUST Post by dan_the_man on May 22nd, 2007, 6:45pm or try an after market cone air filter on the standard pipe ! you get a lovely noise and keep the exaust standard till it rusts away. also a few extra BHP for not much money ! I purchased an after markes induction kit, It works beautifully. you feel it most on the accelleration from 0-30 mph with the sound benifit. |
