A brand new, genuine Ford IACV on Ebay......

It looks the same as the one on the 2.3 but the multiplug is mounted differently. But for a third of the price from FMD, is that such a problem :-/

Does anyone know if the 2.3 IACV is the same unit as the Mondeo, Escort etc as stated or has the seller got it wrong ? :-/

I can't be sure but this looks exactly the same as the one I fitted on my wifes old 1997 Escort....

The unit shown is the one for the 2ltr 16 valve. The one on the 2.3 has the connector at right angles to the unit. There are two different part numbers and IIRC the chambers are different. The advert says they can check your specific model for compatability. The 2.3 part no is 1058383 and the 2.0ltr,which I believe is the one shown, is 1063996.

I did send them an Email but it was returned to me, stating that the address didn't exist ???.....oh well it is nice to know that you can actually get these parts alot cheaper than FMD sell them for ;)

I emailed someone selling similar a while ago & they said not suitable for the 2.3
