Title: 7000 in Focus?
Post by petehull on Mar 29th, 2007, 6:47am
Hi everyone

Just wondered if anybody on here has fitted a 7000 radio and cd unit in a Focus and if there are any alterations needed for the wiring?

Thanks

Pete

all the double din units are the same,

wireing to the cd changed may be diffrent but the unit it's self should swap straight over

1.8 DIN Matt.... Double DIN are the size of the Ford Galaxy units!!

The CD Unit for the Focus is one that fits under the front passenger seat and the wiring runs under the carpet. The connectors at the radio end may be different if the focus had a sat nav ford head unit previously, otherwise it should work OK. You may have trouble with the stalk controls for the radio due to differences in the RIM however it wont stop the radio working

Hi Baz

The car came with a cheap little radio in it so it is my intention to remove it and fit the complete system which came out of my 95 2lt Scorp that i recently broke up.
I have the cd cable that runs to the boot so I will fit the changer in there, it seems from what you say that I probably just need a din adapter to connect it all up so I'll toggle off down to Halfords or somewhere next week.

Don't suppose it matters about the stalk :(

Thanks for the info  ;)
