Title: Hissing noise
Post by dogma on Apr 20th, 2007, 11:49pm
Hi, anyone out there got anyidea what sits directly infront of the driver side, outside the car, just under the drainage area for the water that is under pressure of some sort.  During a drive today i noticed a hissing sound that got louder the more faster i went and when i stopped it continued for a short while, for a sec i thought i had a puncture.
anyone got any ideas
jim

Are you losing any water?
Any steam under the bonnet?
Loose jubilee clip,  split hose, radiator cap loose, header tank cap loose?  ;)

Hi all, def not the water, checked that out, after closer inspection its coming from a small round cylinder thingy lol next to the wiper motor, the pipes leading to it are or have gone brittle so will have to replace, any idea what it is or does
many thanks
jim
