hey all.

when i drive my car like a grandad it is fine up to about 70 and then it seams to run out of steam.

and also if i boot it, it dont want to know and just bunny hops down the road.

and if i am doing about 50 and bury the throttle it just seams to back off and have no beans in the engine at all.

does anyone know what this could be????

geting very annoying now. lol

please help.

seams to run a dream on tickover and slow progressive driving.

milage is about 160k

coilpacks may be breaking down or the cat may be blocked,check the wireing to the coilpacks to see if insulation is ok if not repair with electrical tape see if it runs better.

If you can find somebody nearby with an OBD-II code reader then they can plug it in and see what the engine management thinks is wrong. If you come to Harewood House meeting at beginning of June then somebody will do it for you there.

Alternatively, you could try pulling off the vacuum pipe on the EGR diaphragm and see if that helps (this will generate a fault code).

i am thinking i have a broken coil pack as there are cracks all over it and the end plug at the rear of the rear coil pack is broken and i can see the two bits of metal in the break....

will have to get another one. lol

and see if that is the problem.
