The bolts that hold them in the car can sheer off, I noticed this when scrapping my 95 2lt, suggest you try tightening them before undoing them....

If they do sheer off it would be a case of drilling and re-tapping them, (messy and awkward)

Hope it goes well for you...

only prob i see is if the seats are a higher or lower spec then your cloth ones, there may be a few plugs that may not be needed,

do both have air bags in them? if the new one dont and the old ones do, u'll have the air bag light on the dash

I replaced my cloth with leather a few weeks ago - very easy apart from the following:

a) The side bolsters on the rear seat are a lot more work to replace than the rest of the seating.  Because my leathers were the same colour as the previous cloth I just left the cloth bolsters in place and nobody seems to have noticed so far!

b) Because my Scorp is an early model, the front seats had spring-loaded mechanical pre-tensionser on the seatbelt buckes.  Be careful not to knock the plastic mechanism (mounted on the outside seat runner) otherwise it'll trigger and you won't be able to reset it.  The new seats had electically operated pre-tensioners controlled from the airbag module - however there is no wiring for them on my car as it had mechanical tensioners.  Means that the airbag light works normally but the tensioners won't fire in an accident.

c) The leather seats were heated, and the driver's side moved electrically.  This made it a pig to remove from the scrap car as it had no battery on it and I couldn't move the seat back and forth to access the mounting bolts!  Thankfully my driver's seat had electric height adjustment so there was power wiring in place already, though the new seat had far more wires in the multi-plug so that it could be controlled by the CCM, however those extra wires can be ignored.  I had to cut off the existing multi-plug as it was different to the one fitted to the new seat (which I had kept and had to fit).

d) The seat heating loom runs from the seat mounting ridge on the floor, up the carpet and into the centre console where it connectes to the switches and a relay.  As mine was the low series with no provision for switches I took the centre con and wiring too.  There is a large multi-plug under the carpet on the passenger side which this loom connects to, though on mine some of pins didn't connect to anything so I found one which was live with the ignition on and moved the relay switching wire to that position in the plug housing.  Unfortunately there is no pin on my car loom's plug to provide switch illumination for the centre con so when I get chance I'll run a feed through to the ashtray illumination - but it's not a priority...

I now have a fully-electric adjustable driver's seat and both front seats heated (albeit only with ignition at pos II)!

Wish I'd read this before I started  ::)

a) Changed my Bolsters - as you say what a pain in the arse

b) Mechanical pre - tensioners on both seats so OK

c) This took me an age to sort out (Drivers) , took me ages to find the wires which reclines the seat back/forth (new seats are memory type so not just a case of giving the seat a 12v feed)
Passenger side - 12v feed everything worked = simple

d)  heating - aint done this yet
I havn't got any wiring loom for it  :'(
Don't suppose you know what colour wires at the seat are the heater elements
