I have the front heated seats from a granada and wish to put them in my vw camper.there are 3 looms attached to the base of each seat.is there anybody who could tell me which one is which eg motors,heat elements and fingers crossed how to possibly wire them up.any help would be really appreciated :)

The thick wires power the seat motors, the thinner ones do the heating elements.

nice one darren,i was wondering would it be as simple as ---- positive part on loom to a (on/off)switch then from the switch to the positive on the battery and negative on loom to negative on switch then from switch to an earth :-/

The heated seats also have a relay which you should incorporate - it needs a 5amp supply and a 20amp supply from the fuse box (the scorpio uses the radio circuit and the cigar lighter circuit).

So you have two wires from the fuse box to the relay (make sure you use the correct ampage wire). Using the heatedseats.pdf on the link Kjetil S refers - Pin 1 on the relay should be the 20 amp, pin 2 the 5amp pin 3 the earth and pin 5 the supply to the switch.

The supply from pin 5 goes to pin 2 of the switch and pin 1 on the switch goes to the seat loom which should be Blue/White or Blue/Orange. Pin 3 on the switch is gound.
