Title: Multi Car insurance Policy
Post by Scorpius on May 15th, 2007, 11:54pm
As we now have 2 Cossies, i have trawled through the insurance quotes online looking for a good deal on getting them insured.
I had almost given up as quotes were way too much for a 2nd car and nobody would honour my 8 years NCD on the 2nd car.
Then i tried Admiral Multi Car and WHAT A SURPRISE!!!.
I have now insured BOTH cossies, with myself as main driver and my wife as 2nd driver for a total of £303.(TPFT)  AND they honoured my NCD on both cars too.
As i am currently paying £234 for the one car, this is a real bargain.
Check them out

Ian

Ian - I would support this.

I have been looking at this site for a few months now. Our insurance renewal isn't up until May 20th but have been searching on and off since March to see if we can carve our insurance bill for 3 cars.

This company are doing something to rip up the old guard of extortionate insurance costs. We have always paid about £1100-1200 on the 3 cars - one being a Group 20+. But the quote I have got at the mo is I think about £900. Fantastic price.

Both cars on the same policy or separate ones ?

Separate policies i believe. the policy for one car started today, the other one starts in August when its existing insurance expires. I have only paid for the one car so far and pay 9 months for the second in August to bring it into line with the other one.
Superb service!!!

These are separate policies. Between my wife and I, we have 3 sets of NCB and I have allocated each one against each of the 3 cars.

Obviously insurance premiums range from region to region, town to country. But I pay £350 with a £250 excess on the ST TDCi Mondeo I am driving - it is Grp 13 and I do 30k miles pa in that one.

My wife is a named driver on that car and they ask you the usual of any speed convictions or accidents in the last 5 years. You have to admit to an accident even if you are just a whacked up the back - which my wife had 2 yrs ago. This has knocked premium up a bit. But I am piling 30k miles pa on this car - a 12k mileage would be substantially cheaper.
