This is a new thing to me. As we have 2 24V's, would be interested to learn more on the Speed Sensitive Steering.

LOL Did he mention that he had 2 24v Scorpios including that nice red one I used to like ::)

The way it works is that it gives more asistance at low speeds and gradually less as road speed increases, to improve the handing and driver feedback at high speed. That's how it is on the Jag (I've got all the toys on mine ;) ;D) but I'm b****red if I could notice much over my 2.3 except that the Jag has a LOT of power assistance at parking speeds. Yeah, probably at 80-90mph it's noticeable, if the assistance was still there it'd feel like it was steering on ice.

Regards, Bruce :).

Thanks Bruce.

Another feature i didn't realise i had. These cars never cease to amaze me.

The nice red one, is currently waiting for me to finish the work for the MOT. It failed on a broken front spring and corroded rear brake pipes. I have done the spring and now looking for somone to make up the new pipes and a source for the rubber pipes too so its top notch.
I have a small problem where i can plant my foot to the floor (even in nuetral) and the engine will not rev at all (i mean nothing!!!) apart from sit at idle. It comes and goes and if i keep stamping the throttle it suddenly will rev. May be due to lack of use for 6 months or maybe the TPS is dodgy.. Also looking for a 7000 head unit for it.

Ian, it's not the TCS playing up and holding the throttle cable is it? Even if I diconnect my TPS from the throttle so it sits at idle the car will still rev a bit because of the extra air, it'll just run lean :-/

You can do a voltage check on the TPS and check the multiplug for free ;)

YES, it looks like it is the TCS.

Finally sorted the brake pipes and started her up tonight to see how she is. I now have no accelerator whatsoever, at any time.
I checked the cable and found that it IS the TCS stopping the cable from being operated..

I can see what appears to be a sensor on the top of the module so gonna swap it over with the other Cossie and see what happens.
