I'm changing my back seat belts on a 1995 Scorpio estate, but they are hard to come by on the second hand market. Will belts from i.e. a Sierra og Mondeo fit? Or, belts from a Scorpio sedan? Or from the older Scorpios?

Just side belts, the centre belt is ok.

Other tips welcome!

As log as they are up to BSI standard and marked accordingly they should fit as the mounts are a universal thread size AFAIK.....
Why do you have to change them??? I am intrigued.

Reason is Norwegian tax/registration fee rules. Rip out the back seats, and you can register the car as a"varebil" (supposedly for transporting goods), and you save appr. half the reg. fee, compared to a car with the back seats in place. And we're talking big money here, actually! Guessing around 4.500 GBP back in 1995, very vaguely!

So when I bought mine, it was without backseats, and the back seat belts was cut.

Now the car is over the ten year limit, and I can put the back seats back without paying the extra fee. But finding a pair of original belts has proven diffcult, as the latest Scorpio model didn't really sell much up here... Seems the sollution is to order them from a Swedish car breaker, they obviously sold many more in Sweden.

That's very interesting! Any idea how much postage will amount to? And what with payment? Can I pay in the post office when I pick it up?

have had a look at the seat belts and they do not look very good if you find a simillar ford a mondeo. or escort the seatbelts should be the same :(
