Title: Re: water pump renewal!!! Post by Highlander on Jun 8th, 2007, 11:57pm easy enough, I usually pull the belt up, push the tensioner down to slacken the tension and take the belt off. The water pump pulley will need to be removed to get the pump off but usually no problem |

Title: Re: water pump renewal!!! Post by jonnycab on Jun 9th, 2007, 2:50am There should be five 10mm bolts (if memory serves correct) holding the water pump on & it is possible to remove it without removing the pulley wheel :) P.S....you don't have to go to Ford for a new water pump...believe it or not, you can buy a pattern part :o......for about £45 ;) |

Title: Re: water pump renewal!!! Post by jonnycab on Jun 12th, 2007, 1:02am You could be right Stuart :-/ It's been over a year since I replaced mine & I'm sure I didn't remove the pulley wheel until it was on the bench.... I'm sure the bolts came out using a short socket & ring spanner :) |
