Hi all, been offered a deisel ultima that i was thinking of getting for my journey to S.London from S.Wales thus saving wear on my cossie. Anything i need to look out for when viewing it. john.n

Can't think of anything off hand other than the normal things with a scorp such as the wheel bearings, although i would put your foot down just to check the turbo :)

the diesels have little known faults, no timing belts/chains as they're gear driven, the manual box is strong, there have been some reports of bent push rods, and the belt tensioner can fail (mines on its third from new), but other than that the engines are good.
i recently did a round trip from s.london to llandysul, used about 40 litres of veggie oil which cost £21.00......... ;D
