My air con compressor started rattling a couple of months ago, everything still works fine, just wondered how long they would go on for before they seized does anyone know? Have got a couple of prices for changing it but I haven't got that sort of money at the moment. Anyones advice would be appreciated thanks Danny. ;)

It may only be the clutch on the compressor that is wearing, you may only need to replace this if so.
Is the air con working ok?

When was the AC serviced last time, maybe it needs a regas and oil topped up.

The air con was serviced last year by ford so would assume it was done properly. (Hopefully!)

Don't want to make you go spend money, but you could try a re-gas and oil top up, also don't forget to use the AC at last half an hour per month, to prevent it from seizin up.
