I have some 4" Infinity Kappas in mine. What do you need to know?  ;)

the original ones are 4" BUT.. as far as I can remember, you can probably forget finding speakers that slot in directly.  Ford, in their infinite wisdom, has made the mounting holes bigger than the speaker meshes and in an irregular shape.
What I did was to make two aluminium plates with the same size and shape as the original speakers, and cut holes in them for the new speakers. (aka adapter plates)

Oops!  :-[
The 5" ones I bought on e-bay yesterday will have to be used on one of my other projects then! lol  ::)
Thanks for the help tho.  ;D

5" speakers may fit, I haven't tried.  :) You would probably still need to make up some adapters though

I fitted one sony Xplode 130mm 5.25 ins today. you'll have to cut a little round the hole . I cut slots and knocked the edge over, inwardly. I used two of the origional screw holes. the sonys cost 32 quid and hardly sound better than standard with a 9'' square Dynomat sat behind them ! spend some money on good ones would be my advice.  I may not even bother fitting the other to match the sound is that close. will test again tonight ;D

I think my ears were not working at the time of testing ! :o :o they do handle a lot more bass. looking back I should have chucked in a few more pounds though. I hope the matching 6 x 9's for the rear make up for them . they were 45 bux. I chipped the guy in the shop to 70 and a fiver for the Dynomat so I aint upset.

Whichever Infinity speakers are the good ones (Kappa or Reference I cant remember, think its Reference) are very good speakers. I had them in the front of my Skyline, after making mdf adapter plates. They cost £130.

The other ones, Kappa, I had on the rear shelf. They cost £50 and they were UTTER rubbish.

It wouldnt make much difference without changing the headunit first anyway :)

Weird, the Kappas are the expensive ones.

I still have these door cards and speakers if your interested. Not a five minute job I know, you would have to open out the hole in the door a bit and modify your door pockets. or the speaker pods would come off and fit your door cards if your interior is a different colour. :D
