just lookin at me vin plate as i have a colour prob on me car ......... now on lookin at the info here

R = Cuirass
6= Moondust silver

so mine says R6 ???

and i think its actaully Cuirass but why the 6 ??

anyone ? ???

The 6 refers to the year the car was made - 1996

i like it in cuirass ......... trouble i have is dvla say its red ??????? :o ??? :o

That's really strange - when I bought my car the log book said red !
I sent it back and just put NEW COLOUR = BLUE - came back ok saying colour is blue.

weird that its had 5 owners and no-one has done that ................ ???

so would you say its blue or more of a silver .......... cos i cant make up me mind

Blue / Silver - mmm, yes I was in 2 minds over that !
Dealer described it as metallic blue so I went with blue - I've got a couple of old FMD Scorpio brochures which just say 'Cuirass' - not 'Cuirass silver' or 'Cuirass blue' but if you look at Auralis blue - that one is less blue and more silver than Cuirass so I think 'Blue' is probably more correct.
Mine only had 2 previous owners and yes, they had left it as RED and all the old MOT's said it was RED too !

Maybe the code 'R' in the VIN has been misinterpreted as RED by either the person entering the data at the DVLA or by the computer software ???

Do you know who the dealer was that first registered your car ?

Anyone else had their car originally registered as the wrong colour ?
