Title: why the warning buzzer? Post by big_neil on Oct 7th, 2007, 7:42pm a couple of times in the last month as i,ve inserted the key and turned on the ign. the lights on chime gives one and only one short chime then nothing, i,m pretty sure it,s not the shift in gear buzzer, this is only very occasional then nowt for weeks , any one have any ideas? |

Title: Re: why the warning buzzer? Post by big_neil on Oct 8th, 2007, 9:46pm none of the above answers apply,i.e. lights not on ,tank is always at least half full, normal turn of ign switch. it only started to occur in the last month. the low fuel beep is a different sound to the lights on beep, this is more a chime. it doesn,t bother me it,s just that i,ve never heard it before when the ign. is turned on. |

Title: Re: why the warning buzzer? Post by Tompion on Oct 8th, 2007, 10:17pm If I reprogram my remote from outside the car (turn key in door lock then press button on fob) I get a bong next time I turn on the ignition, so I suppose a dodgy fob & unlocking with a key could do it – but not all cars can program the fob this way. |
