I see a lot of "Scorpio" and "Granada Scorpio" spares listed on EBay. Whilst aware that the Granada ended in about 1994 and that this forum is "Scorpio", this distinction is not made by the majority of people selling parts. They insist on listing parts mostly as Granada/Scorpio 1984 ->. They do however list part numbers and finnis numbers in a lot of cases.

Is there a resource that we are able to tap into to either find the right part number for our various Scorpio models or, someway to input the Part and/or finnis numbers given in the item description to find out what cars these parts will fit.

I would imagine a Ford Dealer might resolve the problem once but, would not put up with a constant stream of questions which never lead to a sale.

Some people on the site do the ability to check FINIS numbers for you if you ask .

Does anyone know if these parts will fit a Scorpio Executive 2.5 TD?

Need an answer rather fast on this as the auction is about to close (1 hour)

Finis Part Number

FRONT SPRING X2 7282607 95GB5309

FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER X2 98GG - 18045 - CA

I appreciate that it is rather late in the day to be asking for this information however, If you can help I would be grateful.

Without checking, i would say yes as the part numbers vary from 95 - 98 therefore IF they are Scorpio parts they should fit as they were made in these years
Granada part numbers wont be higher than 94 as that was when the ended production.

Some Scorpio parts do begin 92/93/94 etc if they were a common part with the Granada.

Your bearings etc will be a standard part, the springs and shocks were different across the range, the diesel shared the same specs as the 24v, the other models springs and shocks were different.

Had a look for the auction but cant see it on ebay.. any more info from the description?

Hi,

Very many thanks for taking the time to reply. The auction has ended but, without a bid. The whole system was being offered up BNIB for £100 part of a project that never got off the ground.

My Scorpio is 1995, he makes no mention of Granada/Scorpio in his description just Scorpio Saloon so I would assume that these are 1995 -> Ford Scorpio parts.

I am aware of the meaning of assume before anyone informs me.

I have the chaps e-mail so I think based on what you are saying I will ask him to re-list the items and then buy them.

Whats the worst that can happen?, re-listing them on e-bay again with myself as the seller!!!
