hi..does anyone know where to get a lead that will plug into the gps aerial socket of above please....fords say there are x10 different cables and plugs may vary..this one is a square fitting

any help appreciated   ..john

Sorry I should have said this is a sat nav double din ford radio that i want to fit into my car....will try and patch a lead to an internal gps aerial

At GPS frequencies, any botched cable will seriously degrade the reception. There are also two, perhaps three different standards for the voltage fed up the cable to power the active antenna - so basically it needs to be right.

have fond an antenna with the for connection but doesnt say what voltage it is..... do you know what voltage ford gps run at ??

No idea at all, sorry. I know some use 3v, 5v and I suppose some could use 12v - but that is the limit of my knolwledge.

thanks Baz......I found that one yesterday and have ordered seems a good price  just hope the voltage is right....local car radio shop saw the socket and said that's same as alpine fitting

did a serch on ebay for "alpine gps antenna" and found what you have !!!! coincidence

it is the right one, I bought one of these when I had my VNR a few years ago. I have the travelpilot in mine now but I never use it anymore thanks to TOMTOM!!
