howdy folk, would someone be kind enough to tell me where the vss unit is and how to remove it or approximatley please .

Its on the nearside back end of the gear box . You can get it off without removing the heatsheilds I am reliably informed but if you need the Workshop PDF then look here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/electrical/intbasic/VSS.pdf)

oh yeah ! I got one on the way. I'll consider getting it chipped when this project is complete.
