Hi,  they are 7 1/2" diffs, same as the Granadas and some of the Sierras which also used the 7"

You could change the crown and pinion between the two diffs yes, as for the diff casings they look similar but you may find the drive pinions are different sizes although i really dont know.

A lot of the sierra's used 7 inch diffs so you would need to check to make sure.

Is your plan still to fit a LSD to a Scorpio?
It wouldnt really be of any use in a 24v and it would make the 2.0 very slow on take off assuming you get an LSD from a Granada cosworth

A 2wd Sierra Cossie diff will bolt straight in if it's a 24v (108mm cv)

Cheaper option is the Granada 24V diff but it has 100mm cv joints.
Scorpio 24V/12v & derv use 108mm. 2.0 & 2.3 are 100mm.

You can use the Granada drive shafts.

The drive shaft bolts are smaller(thinner)on the smaller engined cars, beware of this

Smaller bolts are used on the 100mm c/v's compared to the 108mm ones ;)
