Title: CVT ? ? ?
Post by Tons_of_fun on Nov 9th, 2007, 2:04pm
Wondering if anyone can settle an argument for me !.My local garage has been asked to source a good s/h gearbox for me.The thing is the mechanic seems to think that ALL scorpios have "continuously variable transmission",where as im of the opinion we have a more standard form of auto box.So who,s right ? Is he a numpty ,or am i about to eat humble pie  :-[.Grateful for your opinions...Craig :)

CVT is continuous variable transmission and is different to the what is used in the Ford Scorpio 1994/1998 THIS ARTCLE (http://www.carbibles.com/transmission_bible.html) might be of some use to you and your mechanic  ;) ;D
