hi,Can anyone help  me ? My scorpio diesel 97 model estate manual gearbox,the oil light stays on when the engine is warm,until twelve hundred r p m.I changed the oil and filter,this made no difference. can not find the oil pressure switch?the car has only done 64 thousand miles of which i have done16 thousand,there are no knocks or strange noises yet...thanks

Have a look HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/engines/tdi/TDIDismantle.pdf) it might give you some idea of where to look .
Otherwise I am sure one of the TD guys with more knowledge than I will tell you .

You should find it just rear of the turbo by the exhaust
down pipe - Its almost impossible to see, let alone change.

Be very careful.
You need to get a oil gauge connected to see if it's a false alarm or not.
Mileage don't mean alot to be honest.

thanks for all the help with my oil light problem,it turned out to be a faulty pressure switch ;D i was sweating for a while,the switch is behind the turbo,however it is possible to remove it through a little gap ,useing a socket and nuckle type extension bar.thanks everyone for your help..
