Title: Teves version used on Granada
Post by Tompion on Nov 29th, 2007, 10:13am
I think someone asked if the Teves system was the same on the Granada, but I can’t find the post.

Just spotted in the Haynes Granada manual:
Models up to April 1992    Teves MK 11 ABS
Models from April 1992     Teves MK 1V ABS

The Scorpio uses MK1V & Teves20

So the answer is yes to some years/model.

But whether any parts are common, that’s a question I can’t answer.

Think early mk3's have the same system and calipers as Jag XJ40's. Later MK3's have the same braking system as the Scorp i think. Again, not sure on parts compatibility  :-/

The Scorp 2.9 12v uses the later Granada's Teves 1V. The suggestions are that despite both using the Teves IV, the two are not quite identical - or at least I'm advised that the diagnostics for the Granada version will not work for the Scorpio.
