Don't quite understand what you mean  :-/

All tuning/timing is controlled by the PCM which takes readings from the various sensors around the engine.....so no manual tuning is possible  :)

You can superchip the PCM for better performance, but it it isn't cheap  :)

theres no subsitute for capacity, the 2.0 will allways be a bit pushed, 2.3 is an improvement but the scorp is very heavy, there are cam / turbo kits etc for the 12v, most common for the 24v seems to be turboi conversion, the engine is a bit to rare for most companies to provide bits for, the limit factor on the 24v seems to be the lazy auto box & very high gearing.

Whereas the 24v is great at top end I've always the thought the 12v was quicker off the line. My old G reg. 2.9i 12v Granada was amazingly quick, much more so than my current 2.4i 12v Granada and 2.9i 24v Scorpio. I even toiled with swapping the Granada's engines over prior the demise of the 'G' reg  :'(

Or perhaps the reason maybe I should just simply empty my boot  :D
