Title: Door trim Post by Wadman on Dec 11th, 2007, 3:03pm Once again I am hoping for information, this time on removing interior trim Firstly, the memory seat buttons on my Scorpio Ultima have stopped working but the manual buttons on the seat still operate. Secondly, the remote radio controls on the steering wheel have also stopped working, but the radio works. It all points to wiring problems like loose connections. So I need to remove the driver's door trim and the trim under the dash near the door hinge, for the seat problem, and the steering cowling to trace the wires from the radio to the remote stick. Help! |

Title: Re: Door trim Post by Simmo on Dec 12th, 2007, 7:38am Wadman. The 'Senior Status' you refer to is awarded on the number of posts put up over the course of time and has nothing to do with 'age'. You may have noticed that there are two members on here referred to as Cheeky boy 1 and CB2. They were awarded that status because of their continued cheek to a certain OAP member.ie: ME!!. ;D :D Highlander, as you will see, is likely to be the next candidate !!. ;). I guess you must be the oldest member ?. |

Title: Re: Door trim Post by Wadman on Dec 14th, 2007, 10:15pm Hey, I've got another problem, the right side of my heating system ONLY blows cold at ANY setting, but the passenger side blows hot enough to melt plasti, on the higher settings. It never rains but it pours. I've loooked at diagnostic info that suggests pressing buttons and looking at the "screen" - what screen? |

Title: Re: Door trim Post by Snoopy on Dec 15th, 2007, 7:39am Have you got climate control or just standard air con? With climate control there are two little displays showing temperature in centigrade either side of the controls. If you have climate control suggest you try a system reset... details of which areHERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ccreset.htm) It can sometimes take more than ONE reset to get it working again . If you have just air con then one of the flaps may have stuck inside the dash and tat is a more complicated affair, IMMSMC, but others with more knowledge will tell you . |

Title: Re: Door trim Post by Wadman on Dec 16th, 2007, 10:37am As I have the 'Ultima' Scorpio, you would think I have climate control. However, the car has the vertically sited "+" and "-" buttons and a round window which displays a number, altered by the buttons. As for stuck flaps, the amount of air being pumped out is no less than the passenger side, just cold. |

Title: Re: Door trim Post by Snoopy on Dec 16th, 2007, 1:46pm DO a RESET then ! |

Title: Re: Door trim Post by Wadman on Dec 16th, 2007, 3:09pm I will try a reset, but not today too darn cold. |
