Title: Any ford KA experts?? Post by toppin2 on Jan 3rd, 2008, 2:08pm my girlfriend has 1 2003 ford ka luxury, which has a engine mangament light, with the fault being the pre cat hego sensor. i have replaced the sensor but the light is still on, does anybody no if the fault code has to be cleared by computer?? (because i dont want her using my cosworth much longer)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers, Dave. |

Title: Re: Any ford KA experts?? Post by TiberiuS on Jan 3rd, 2008, 4:56pm With a lot of newer cars it's a dealer ECU reset job, I'm pretty sure this is the case with the Mk3 Mondeo at least. I even got the main Jag dealer to sort it for me when I did both lambdas, only £33 :o. With some cars they just won't work until the ECU is reset, worth asking your FMD. Regards, Bruce. |

Post by TTPmaverick on Jan 7th, 2008, 9:55pm Hi have you had the fault code read by some 1 ? if so has the fault cleared?. most cars will clear the eng man light straight away but a few take around 20 starts and runs of the car. if you have had the code read by some 1 have they tried to clear the fault ?
