Title: Temperature gone RED UPDATED
Post by strebor on Feb 1st, 2008, 6:37pm
I just had a hose split the one that feeds the top of the water pump fortunatly I was able to shorten it enough to get me home but I notice the temp guage is stuck in the red even after refilling with cold water.
any ideas anyone please

Check the single wire connection to the temperature sender near the top hose. If this is loose or damaged then the gauge can read hot all the time  :)

Do a reset as per THIS (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/instreset.htm) and after wards just switch off and then restart Dials should ALL spin round to max and then all should be ok.
