Any help on how I can get around this problem...I had to take the battery of to charge, left the ign on :(
I can't find the code for the radio??? then realised the radio screen has always been blank...so even if one of you guys can help me with the code. I won't be able to see what I am doing as the screen is blank ???
Any suggestions...Thanks.

Have you got one of those little decoding men in your area ? I reckon Highlander or Scorpioman might have knowledge for you.

Hoping someone can Pm. me on how to retrive the code, but how am I going to see what digits are coming up if I can't see the radio screen :-/

If you rub the screen vigorously with your finger for a while, then you may get something come up :-/.....works with mine :)

If you need the code, then you'll have to pull the stereo out & take a note of the serial number.

PM me with the serial number & I'll PM you back the code :)

Had blank screen last week on 7000 series after flat battery used hot ar gun gently on unit and didgits came back

Hot air gun... ;) I'll give that a try. I have not had time to remove the radio yet. Drove the car today and tried rubbing the screen didn't seem to work. Thanks for the advice outonmybike1. When I get the radio out over the weekend I'll PM You jonnycab.

Nice 1. The alternative, which has worked for some people in the past, is to put the unit in the airing cupboard overnight. :)

We old geysers like to keep our airing cupboards,they are handy for drying things in,like radios, electrical equipment and even damp clothes !
