Title: Re: Idle Control Valve Post by harry.m1byt on Apr 6th, 2008, 5:55pm I don't where exactly on your model, but (as above) on the throttle body. You are looking for an alloy object, with two parts to it, mounted on the side of the throttle body (2x bolts?) with a two pin electrical plug going into one end of the unit. Take the bolts out, undo the plug and it should be free with a gentle tap to free the sticking gasket. |

The 2.0ltr 16v uses the lower of the two variants shown. |

Title: Re: Idle Control Valve Post by Simmo on Apr 7th, 2008, 7:23am Dave, On reflection you could be right....Certainly the top picture is more like the unit BUT there is a difference in that the 2.0ltr unit has the connection direct on to the unit whereas the 2.3 unit has the connection,as shown on the upper unit ,at right angles to the body. Even more confusing is that members have said that both types will work on either car!!. Another Scorpio 'quirk'. ;) |
