Does any one know where i can get replacement Scorpio oil Cooler Pipes picture found here http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/coolerpipes.htm as i live in Kent i am trolling the breakers yards but with no luck so far, if you know where i can get a new set that would be fine, the ones i have have a split in them, and despite a temporary repair with some PTFE and Jubilee Clips it is still spraying all over the under body, many thanks Mike, ps remember i know nothing about cars, just love my Scorpio ;)

hi mikeart, sorry to hear of your problems.there are a few scrapyards in a place called 'stock' the other side of 'billericay' in essex....the place is called temple farm indust estate,there is a few in the scrapyards there estates and saloons...hope that helps,all depends whether you want to travel or not.regards den. :)

If the metal pipes have rusted through cut the bad bit out with a plumbers pipe cutter (gives a nice clean cut) and fit a bit of 9mm petrol pipe held with 2 jubilee clips at each end between the two pieces of pipe, this repair is quite acceptable as there is no real pressure in the pipes. I did this with mine not so long ago and no problems since.

As for getting others have you tried fordparts uk, last time I was checking things out the short pipe was about £28 brand new, don't know about the long one though.

Thanks folks, no luck so far, have done a bodge repair for now and reduced the leak to a dribble, but i did find four semi new tyres, fitted for £80 and these people have loads of spares, not a big company but breaking stuff every day so may be worth giving them a ring if you need bits "Detling Car Breakers"

As the ATF pressure is fairly low ( I think :-* ) on entrance and exit of the cooler, it's fairly easy to cut out the rusty/ leaky bits and rig up replacement lengths utilising jubilee clips and plastic petrol pipe/ aluminium piping.

Nice one Den, that was my steady supply of parts & now you've revealed it to the masses ::).....

The whole lot will be stripped bare by the morning, mark my words ???.......It'll be like feeding time in the piranha pool ::).......... ;D

That's okay Den, was only joking ;)

The scrappy is called NSEC (Nevenden South East Cars) & the address is....Temple Farm Ind Est, Ship Road, West Hanningfield, Essex.......Tel 01277 841499.

Last time I was down there they had 6 or 7 Scorps breaking :)

There's a couple more yards down there as well that had a couple of Scorps :)

thank you jc, ;)...yes i had an idea you was joking with me...thank you for posting the full details of the place to help others in need..i was over there a week ago..and the ultimas are still there..saloons and estates.i had part of the leather out of one of them,in excellant condition....regards to all.den. :).

Did the 9mm pipe work ? I have the same problem :(

Hi, in the end all it needed was PTFE and a Jubilee Clip round the split, no doubt if the split is bigger than mine was/is just try with two clips, since this repair it has been fine and done a thousand miles plus some of that towing a caravan, and not one drop of oil lost, i will try and upload a photo later this morning showing the repair, catch you later good luck Mike. ;)
