Title: Estate car rear wipers Post by Wadman on Jun 22nd, 2008, 11:10am I bought a 13" Bosch replacement wiper blade for the rear wiper without realising the involvement of the washer jet. Where do people go to get the correct quality replacement blades without paying Ford prices? Wadman |

Title: Re: Estate car rear wipers Post by Tompion on Jun 22nd, 2008, 12:12pm I’ve bought trupart front blades from here, quick delivery. They list the Scorpio rear ones, but whether they’re right I couldn’t say: http://wiperblades.co.uk/ |

Title: Re: Estate car rear wipers Post by Wadman on Jun 25th, 2008, 9:12am Jim We had already changed the rubber as a temporary measure, but wether it will last, is another matter. I will try our local Ford garage to check on prices. Regards |

Title: Re: Estate car rear wipers Post by Scorpio_Mike on Jul 3rd, 2008, 9:04pm Changed the rubber on my rear wiper today - slide the old one out, lubricate the plastic wiper blade holder with washing-up liquid and fit the new rubber. It's quite a tight fit - I pulled the rubber along with a pair of pliers and then cut to the correct length. |

Title: Re: Estate car rear wipers Post by Wadman on Jul 10th, 2008, 11:14pm Ok, Tuesday 8th it rained like crazy and I used the rear wiper. Basically the replaced rubber worked well. One thing, the top of the arc of 'wipe' didn't clean the water off the glass. Checking back, it seems the original blade assembly was curved and a later replacement wasn't. So replacing the rubber meant it wiped 'in a straight line'. |
