Title: A lesson learned about compressed air
Post by pappa on Jul 16th, 2008, 1:19pm
Hi guys/gals.

A word of warning, which you already knew of course, never try to clean up the surroundings of your fuseboxes with compressed air. . . Especially if you happen to have the covers off. . .

@

I heard one Finnish guy doing it (it was me!) and ended up having moisture in the fusebox + funny electric windows. Silly man, he (me!) has no water separator in his air compressor and it blows a nice air+waterspray. Penetrates very well into the fusebox too.

He (me! :D ) ended up stripping out all the fuses and realys from the main fusebox and half dismantling the aux. fusebox. Sprayed them with a non residue electric cleaner and letting hot air to dry them out for hours yesterday. Now all is well again and he (me!) is now happy like a sick puppy.

I would not do anything like that (it was actually me).
