Yiu do not need to remove the battery just disconect it for about 30 mins, Make sure you have your keys in your pocket and that you have the code for the radio, The windows one touch operation will need reseting and the A/C ( if it is fully auto) may also need to be done . None of them difficult and instructions on the main site for all of those operations .

Why do you need to reset the computer?
The car will run qiute rough for the first few miles afterwards until the computer re- learns .

Hi snoopy
Just thought would be a good idea the car is 12 years old and if this operation resets the computer to its original settings it might do some good perhaps i`m wrong ::)

Will not do the car any harm at all but if its running OK now why disturb it. Your choice. Changing the battery will do the same .. MAke sure you have the radio code.
