Title: What does "LT" mean? Post by dave_ryman on Jul 31st, 2008, 1:46pm Sorry for asking such a trivial question. The official model description for my car includes the letters "LT" - anyone know what this means? |

Title: Re: What does "LT" mean? Post by dave_ryman on Aug 2nd, 2008, 11:33am Ok - looks like "Leather Trim" is important enough to be in the model description. I thought Leather was standard on the Ultima version of the car, but according to Parkers it's not, since there are LT and non-LT versions. |

Title: Re: What does "LT" mean? Post by Scorpio_Mike on Aug 2nd, 2008, 4:12pm Just checked an old Ford brochure I have for the Scorpio - indeed, leather WAS an option on the Ultima ! On the Executive model, it even shows the electric sunroof to come only with an option pack - presume manual operation as standard ? |

Title: Re: What does "LT" mean? Post by dave_ryman on Aug 4th, 2008, 7:45pm It's quite amazing that the "ultima" level of trim could still leave anything as an option. I guess I'm glad mine has it! One problem I have found with the leather upholstery is that, unless the front seats are very far forward, you can't fold down the rear seats - the upholstery is just too plush and voluminous. So I guess if it was standard, there'd be a lot of complaints - at least this way, complainents could kick themselves for ordering the leather! I did try moving the front seats back again after folding the rear seats, but this just starts making a squeeking sound, and I chickened out before doing any damage. |
