Title: What does "LT" mean?

Sorry for asking such a trivial question. The official model description for my car includes the letters "LT" - anyone know what this means?

Where is the 'description'?. If you are talking about the VIN plate the details of how to read it are HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/vin.htm).

Leather? That's it? Odd that it should be in the model description.

Ok - looks like "Leather Trim" is important enough to be in the model description. I thought Leather was standard on the Ultima version of the car, but according to Parkers it's not, since there are LT and non-LT versions.

Just checked an old Ford brochure I have for the Scorpio - indeed, leather WAS an option on the Ultima !

On the Executive model, it even shows the electric sunroof to come only with an option pack - presume manual operation as standard ?

It's quite amazing that the "ultima" level of trim could still leave anything as an option. I guess I'm glad mine has it!

One problem I have found with the leather upholstery is that, unless the front seats are very far forward, you can't fold down the rear seats - the upholstery is just too plush and voluminous. So I guess if it was standard, there'd be a lot of complaints - at least this way, complainents could kick themselves for ordering the leather! I did try moving the front seats back again after folding the rear seats, but this just starts making a squeeking sound, and I chickened out before doing any damage.

I've got a 2L 8V Executive...I suspect everything to be an option as mine has seats and wheels and uhmmm...that's it really ::)
