is it possible to obtain a replacement sunroof from anywhere that isnt rust riddled ?? anyone know if thats a possibility? tks

Try a scrappy - Granada sunroofs fit and supposed to be more rust resilient

Hi

if you have removed it can you say how much rust there is ..I know difficult to state exactly..I just bought one and it had rust everywhere have put in skip

not doubting your word but at the joint seal at the rear is that rusty underneath?

hi mate

yeah it has some rust, the seal join has rusted up, the sun roof was working fine untill it was removed, it did catch every now and then on the join.

runners have a bit of rust but nothing serious

ill be breaking a car after my holiday, i'll have a look at its mechs, but the seal join seems fine on that

Hi..tks for that...I am on a mission to sort the last (for now) problem with my scorp..i really would like to put in a roof which was better than mine.....having bought another one i can see how bad they get..water gets under the seal as it isnt sealed in ..its just pushed into a rebate...water then creaps underneath and into the inner frame........Ive got another scorp with a slightly better roof but would rather have a spare than do an exchange.............let me know when covenient about the other one..pics of worst rust aeas?? maybe they are all bad full stop and i am wasting my time but thought i would explore

It took me ages to find one for my Granada scorpio, they rust just as bad.
The 6 screws that hold the roof to the frame can be sods to get out as well.
I think Fords or Autoglass etc can get them for about £200, I was lucky to find one after removing about 12, and it was free ;D ;D ;D.

Do you have any tips on how to remove them? Mine is rusted and I would like to find a replacement too.
