Title: Re: Aircon Pump ? Post by martin_rowe on Aug 26th, 2008, 1:28pm better re phrase that, depends on what engine you have. you can leave the belt off as long as it only drives the compressor, if only 1 belt you may be able to source a smaller 1 to fit missing out compressor. |

Title: Re: Aircon Pump ? Post by gozz on Aug 26th, 2008, 9:54pm Adzs. It seems to me that half of the 12 and 24valves in the land have the compressor belt missing.Twice I have bought cars like this, and the owners will say"ah I saw a little belt lying in the undertray, wondered what it was"or the aircon's working mate look the lights on".Then when you feel the compressor it's either seized up or the clutch has disintegrated, when pointed out, they shrug and say they don't know much about cars ::) GOZZ. |
